Warm Up

Warming up is essential to practicing contortion. This includes a 30 minute cardio activity to get your muscles warm and light stretches. I have a Warm Up Routine.
Quick Run
Ankle Roll: Sitting on the floor taking each foot one at a time in your hand and rolling it both ways.
Wrist Stretch: Now kneeling on your knees, press your wrists to the floor. Switch.
Mountain: Push up position with your butt high in the air and stretching the back of your legs.
Modified Mountain: Mountain but with one foot on the other ankle. Switch.
Mount En Pointe: Mountain but now curl your toes under to en pointe.
Chest Towards Sky: Lay on stomach and push your chest up with your arms arching your back.
Magnets: Try to touch head to toes.
